Sustainable Frome is a group of people living locally who want to build a greener future, and one in which Frome is better placed to meet the challenges of climate change with community-led responses. A part of the Transition Network.

We have regular meetings, organise events and campaigns, and aim to provide advice and practical help for the residents of Frome who want to live in a more sustainable way.

We support and work with other local groups working and campaigning in all areas of sustainable living, social justice and environmental protection. See Groups and Campaigns for more details, and explore the Sustainable Signposts to find local groups.

Sustainable Frome FM

A regular spot on Frome FM where we report on local projects, explore challenges, highlight opportunities and share tips for things you can do at home to reduce your impact on planet earth.

Meetings

We meet on the first Thursday of each month at the Good Heart cafe.

Everyone is welcome to come along and see what's happening.

We generally start with shared food from 7pm (Note that Tibetan Memories no longer operate out of the Good Heart so this option is no longer available). We then move on to notices and the main business of the meeting from 7.30.

See the meetings page for more information.

Next meeting: Thursday 7th March 2024 @ The Good Heart

Tanya Slater is coming to share with us her plans to create a health and wellbeing programme to reduce stress/anxiety and depression for individuals, families and communities in Frome that is inclusive and free/low cost to access.

Sustainable Frome supports Green & Healthy Frome

Green & Healthy Frome wants to achieve a health and climate win-win by exploring ways we can help local people to live lives which are good for their health and the planet – if we improve one, we’ll also improve the other, enabling everyone to share in a better future.

GHF is a unique partnership of Edventure Frome, Frome Medical Practice and Frome Town Council and are funded by The National Lottery’s Climate Action Fund, working together on this community-led initiative to ensure there are many ways to live greener and healthier lives in our town.
